Guide: Warts Removal Treatment

To be perfectly honest, i've been debating with myself whether or not to write this post, because i simply do NOT want to show you guys my healing face (which looks like i have dark brown freckles all over :)) ) but then i've worked out a solution so, bear with my drawings please :)

It's been a long time since my mom and i have talked about purging the warts on my face -- i'm not saying my skin's perfectly spotless except for those warts but they do add to the ever 'shing, your face looks so dirty' problem. so now that it's holy week and i don't need to be out so much, we've decided to give cauterizing those babies away a try.

I ended up going to Let's Face It at SM Cubao (link here) for it because 1) it seemed cheaper and 2) looks legit and credible enough. Yeah, we've been looking at the other places in cubao where i could get my warts removed (from alimall, shopwise, gateway, farmers and back again to be exact) but i ended up there because you want to go where people go to for these things, right? I've always seen that store with a lot of people sitting in their waiting area so that just means people trust this place :) that and we actually gave the store a phone call first before heading out, asking loads of questions, all of which were answered with a friendly tone.

quick rundown of prices:

Warts Treatment, for every 25 pieces -- 435
Healing Cream/Medicine -- 180

do know that in let's face it, you have to sign a waiver of consent before getting the procedure done. i know some people won't read that but if it's your face you're going to get the treatment done, i do urge you to read it. it's just short (with 5 bullet points) so do read it before signing. it contained like a list of side effects that you can't hold them liable for (they'll try their best of course not to make it happen), and  other stuff like asking if you haven't taken this weird sounding medicine for the past few months. just read it :P

when the girl who was supposed to get the warts off inspected my face, she told me i should go for a facial first because, yes, my face was dirty (pimples, blackheads galore) which was worth 600+ (facial and a mask) but i declined it saying i didn't have enough money to cover everything. THAT and i had 75 warts to purge when i originally though i only had 30 :| so i skipped the facial (yes, you can do that and say it out loud as well) and got to the warts treatment.

first, she put topical anesthesia on my warts and covered them up with scotch tape

and then she left me saying i had to wait for 30 minutes for the anesthesia to kick in. so i was lying there for a a little more than 30 minutes trying to busy myself with texting and bbming people while periodically looking at the couple just beside me on the left because they had really funky green looking masks on their faces and i was wondering if it was something like mint and choco chip iceceream (because it really did look like that).

the girl came back after what seemed to be the longest time i've ever had to shut up and lie down (i was really tempted to sit instead of lie down but i didn't want other people to think i was weird), bring with her the wart zapping thing.

basically, the machine looked like a pen with a metal nub in the end and she would touch my warts with it, burning my warts into oblivion. yeah, i could smell it and i could see the smoke rising up from my face in thin streams and all the while i was thinking 'ohmygod, what's happening to my face now'. truthfully, it didn't hurt a lot, but there were a few warts that REALLY hurt because the anesthesia didn't take effect on them. so yes, if you're planning on getting those warts off, make sure to say that you want that wart fully covered with topical anesthesia because it WILL hurt like hell if it doesn't. the rest just felt like pin pricks that you wouldn't notice at all :)

in the end, i found my face looking like i had chicken pox -- tiny red spots all over which were a bit swollen still on the edges.

i was instructed not to wash my face and neck (i had warts on my neck too) for the next three days and that i should apply the healing cream every morning and night with cotton buds. no washing cause since it's still basically fresh wounds on your face, albeit tiny ones, i might run the risk of getting infected and stuff and have them scar permanently on your face.

the only time i felt my face hurt and sting was when i got home already, which was around an hour later :) so the next few paragraphs would be me recounting my experience. know that it may or may not happen to you (possibility!) but this is what i've observed so far

DAY 1

it wasn't swelling and it didn't hurt anymore, and it was now forming fresh scabs. some of them though oozed out a bit of yellow pus though so i was a bit disappointed -- i followed everything they told me what to do and what not to do but the inevitable still happened :( in the end, i just patted them dry with tissue since i still couldn't wash them.

DAY 2

scabs are now complete and now i have brown freckled face :)) no more pus coming out either :) my face felt caked with the medicine though so i cleared up the in between spaces with water and cotton buds so i wouldn't really touch them.

i'm now in day 3 and i still have brown spots all over my face

no scabs have fallen off yet, sad to say, but i'm hoping! that and i'm really itching to wash my hair :| can't wait for tomorrow to do that~ i plan to have a facial and a diamond peel the moment all the scabs are gone, and i'm timing it just before i start going to my OJT. hey, i need to look pretty~

i hope you found this guide to be useful :) i'll update as soon as something happens to my face and the end result :D if you're planning on getting the same treatment done, my only advice to you bis to actually call the place you're getting it from and ask them loads of questions about the whole procedure. that way, they can prepare you for what to expect and how to care for your face during the three days you can't wash it ;)

good luck!~

    1. Hi! I'e just realized that i've never updated it :)) Yes, all the scabs fell off around a few days later -- tiny ones first before the big ones -- and i was clear 2 weeks after. although i must admit, don't try prying off the scabs -- i did that to some and i really regret it HAHAHA.
